Creating a Series of Cocktail Recipe Videos for Salcombe Gin

Over the last few months, we have been working with Salcombe Gin to create a series of cocktail recipe videos for online use on their website's drinks page, as well as for Social Media marketing. This series of cocktail recipe videos have been a great tool for raising brand awareness on social media and encouraging consumers to recreate the drinks at home themselves using a bottle of Salcombe Gin. So far, we have produced 6 recipe films, all filmed at the brand's distillery in Devon's stunning, Salcombe. We filmed these on our Sony PXW-FS5 with a 50mm lens to give a cinematic effect. We used a lot of super slow-motion on the key recipe steps, again to give a cinematic and advert vibe to the short edits. We then colour graded the films based on the brand's iconic style, and incorporated bespoke graphics and animated their two logos.

Social Media Marketing is quickly becoming the most common format of video marketing. To ensure maximum engagement, we edited the videos to no more than 1 minute in length. From our in-house social media management for clients and reporting expertise, we have seen time and time again that short social media clips are excellent at driving engagement to your channels, and if executed correctly - will ultimately drive sales. We always encourage where possible to add a call-to-action to your video marketing to direct those engaged customers to your product or service.

This was a great project to work on, particular being at the forefront of managing the social media insights and being able to report on the success of yet another excellently received video marketing series.
